Nicki Minaj is facing a new line of resistance to her controversial marriage to childhood sweetheart Kenneth Petty, and it’s coming from her new neighbors in the posh city of Hidden Hills.
Since December, they’ve been gathering signatures on a petition that demands that Petty leave the city because he’s a sex offender, TMZ reported. “Say no to sex offenders in Hidden Hills,” the Change.org petition reads.
The petition notes that the rapper’s husband was convicted in 1995 of the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl, which landed him in prison for four years. Petty, 45, also is serving a one-year sentence on home confinement, presumably in the $19.5 million Hidden Hills mansion Minaj, 40, purchased in December, per TMZ. He pleaded guilty in 2021 for failing to register as a sex offender when he moved to California, and TMZ reported that he recently changed his address on the Megan’s Law website to show that he lives in Hidden Hills.
“We, the residents of Hidden Hills, must put our resident’s safety first,” reads the petition, which doesn’t mention Minaj’s name, only Petty’s. “DO NOT allow this dangerous sex offender to live near you. SHOW that you are against sex offenders in our Hidden Hills neighborhood!”
The registry is totally not a punishment *eye roll*
A 19.5 million dollars mansion, I only wish she knew about this organization.
Why there is hardly a speck of affirmative restraint or disability intended AND inherent IN the precedent setting SOR gov database driven regime. Unquestionably punitive! Incarceration serves the purpose of removing the individual from others in society. Involuntary servitude (processes) provides the free labor to data upkeep. This is not about the will of the people, or the violent human, it is about the database driven infrastructure and the purveyors’ clouded claims of benevolence and security. Imagine unregulated artificial intelligence. Human life won’t mean spit.
This is the end result of what decades worth of misinformation does to a community about sex offenses. Their vigilance gets misdirected at an individual over a nearly 30-year-old offense when the guy was about 17 years old. Were the residences even aware how long ago his offense was or the circumstances that surrounded it? I doubt it.
The real crime here is this perpetual spread of lies and myths from the people who have the most to gain from this unconstitutional act on American citizens: politicians, cops, and prosecutors. They’re the guilty ones – getting votes and funding by stepping on the backs of second-class citizens – and perpetuate the game of misdirecting the community’s vigilance so that the vulnerable will continually be sexually assaulted by new offenders that are NOT ON THE REGISTRY.
Vicious evil cycle perpetuated by evil people.
Perfect opportunity to correct the ignorance of the masses with the real stats using one or more of the sources we have discussed of late here in the forum. Let them know they are the real danger, not her husband.
How many would be up for a counter-protest in having him stay in his home with his family? Now, that would make headlines and be useful in showing the stats.
Given he has a famous neighbor in the same ‘hood up there who is now a famous glamorous atty working on criminal reform and justice issues, this would be a great opp for her to help him and get the info out there! Can the opp get any more ripe to hit the big time with data, etc?!
“But the sexual assault conviction isn’t the only skeleton in Petty’s closet. He also was convicted of manslaughter in the April 2002 shooting death of a man in Queens County”
That’s one big skeleton! Although sexual assault is bad, I would be a little worried about someone in their adult life who killed another person. Which makes me wonder if those neighbors would be marching around and collecting signatures if Petty’s only crime was conviction for manslaughter.
You guys are missing the elephant in the room here. Yes, the neighbors are upset that there is this sex offender, whose major crime was 28 years ago, living in their neighborhood. Yes, they have a right to be frightened even if it is from a lack of facts about sex offenders and their low recidivism rates. And, yes, they have a right to protest whatever they please. But, in the end, what they are doing will amount to nothing. The simple fact is that there is nothing legally they can do to force Mr. Petty to move. Oh, they can file a lawsuit that, no doubt, will be quickly thrown out by the court for lack of merit. If he was a Sexually Violent Predator on parole, CDCR might bow to the pressure and try to move him but I seriously doubt he’s an SVP so that’s not an option. So, in short, his neighbors have no good options. They need to accept reality and find a way to live with the fact that he is there, he’s not going anywhere, and they are powerless in the end to do anything constructive about it.
People… this petition is a hoax. Proof that no one takes these sex offender laws and Megan’s Law seriously, except for the Karen’s of the world, as well as the CASOMB, Department of “Justice,” SARATSO, and law enforcement police Scumbag Scam Artists that perpetuate it.
Let’s be honest […] its a bunch of white people that don’t want black people in their neighborhood.
Guarantee if it was Mike Tyson moving in that neighborhood they wouldn’t have said sh@t
There’s a lot more to this story as the facts role in. According to TMZ, the whole petition thing was started by a Cardi B 🤩 fan. For those who don’t know who Cardi B is, she’s a famous east coast African-Latina rapper. So this fan is trying to get back at Nikki Minaj by “dissing her Bo.”😡 (I guess that’s how the kids say it nowadays)
TMZ says, “We contacted the Hidden Hills Community Association…. An HHCA official told us they were unaware of the petition, or of a Beverly Barden — the woman listed as starting the petition — living there.”

The Cardi B fan probably could care less that Petty is a registered “sex offender” If anyone has done anything that’s “offensive to sex”, it’s Cardi B. Just watch her videos. 😱 Another time, she admitted on tape that she drugged 💊 and robbed men who wanted to have sex with her while she worked as a stripper before finding fame. Now that’s hardcore! Anyways, this whole thing sounds like hater who got unhinged, and blamed the neighbors for unleashing their hate. I knew there was something suspicious about this whole story, because usually rich people don’t care who lives next door to them, as long as they’re filthy rich 💵 💵 too.
Those mansions are probably so far apart that those neighbors probably never see each other. All they wanna do is cause a stirrup.
Salem in 1692
Kind of dumb. I wonder what the circumstances of the “attempted rape” was. Because if I did my math right he was 17 when it happened.
Now of course you could have 17-year-olds acting with malice such as drugging a girl and trying to have your way with her or you could be a teenage boy that let the hots overcome him when they were making out and she decided she didn’t want to go any further. That’s not right but the totality of circumstances is different and I think that makes a difference.
Plus it’s been 28 years. There’s an off chance that he might have changed a little bit over that time. I wonder why the hell he didn’t register when he came out here. That was very dumb
Anyway, their petition means absolutely nothing. As long as he’s following state law the governs where he can live and such, the petition is not worth the paper it’s written on.
So how long the Nicki Minaj’s husband has to live in California before he can request/petition the courts to get off the registry?
What a bunch of morons. Like a petition has any legal authority. Take your feel-good petition and shove it where it stinks.
